How to Exercise at Home and also Like It!

If you have a busy schedule, it's difficult to find time to exercise. Getting sufficient exercise is critical for both physical and mental health, though. Ideally, get at least 30 minutes of moderately vigorous exercise a day.

Here are things you need to remember to enjoy your workout:

1. Work out with friends.

Working out with friend can make exercise feel like a family thing or outing with friends. Oxford University performed one study and found when team members exercised together, their bodies released much more feel-good endorphins than when they worked out alone.

2. See exercise as a reward.

One study revealed that the more dissatisfied you are with your body, you are less likely to exercise. Your approach towards workout should not have a sense of guilt for eating extra sugar. Exercise to feel good, not just for weight loss.

3. Listen to fast-paced music for mood-boosting.

Greg Justice, an exercise physiologist, says music can give your workout enjoyment an instant boost. Research shows that fast-paced music (140 to 160 beats per minute) is often best for boosting moods, energy, and workouts.

4. Don’t work out for weight loss.

If you focus just on weight loss than you will not enjoy exercise. If you've tried to lose weight in the past and couldn't succeed, then shift focus away from the past. Once you focus on energizing your body and improving your health, you wills see exercise as a healthy decision, not an obligation.

5. Body should have enough energy for exercise.

Learning how to enjoy exercise is a hard task when you do not have enough energy. Change your lifestyle to fix energy deficiency. Eat food with plenty of fibers, drink lots of water, do Pranayama like Bhramari and Anulom-Vilom for stress-free life, take supplements for vitamins, etc.

6. Identify and choose exercises you'll enjoy.

If you don't like certain exercises, like lifting weights, you don't have to do them.

Some people like exercising outdoors. Try getting outside and going for a long walk, trail run, or hike at your local park.

7. Download a fitness app.

Some of the well-known for fitness are Daily Yoga, FitOn, Runtastic, Home Workout - No Equipments, My Map RunMost fitness apps have spoken instructions. It will also tell how many miles/kilometers you've traveled, how long it took you to travel that distance, and how many calories you've burned.

While morning workouts are energizing and set a great tone for the rest of your day, working out is better than not working out at all. Remind yourself that you'll feel happier and less stressed with exercise, and you'll sleep better at night. Those factors can help you stick with your exercise routine.
